Mayabeque, Cuba: The Base Business Unit (UEB) Muebles Signos (UEB) in Batabanó assumes responsibility for its production plans in each of the work days, reinforcing the hygienic-sanitary measures against Covid-19 today.

The director of the UEB Idel Artiaga Rivero, declared that they are currently working to fulfill their main commitments, the production of furniture for tourism and the sale of cribs for the Ministry of Internal Trade (MINCIN).

Regarding the implementation of measures to combat the advance of Covid-19, Artiaga Rivero explained that they carry out an investigation by the workshops to detect any worker with symptoms of the disease, the foot-steps are maintained, the disinfection of the posts, the isolation in common areas such as the dining room, holding as few meetings as possible and always in open spaces.

One of the new commitments of this entity is the manufacture of 600 beds for children monthly to benefit the Maternal and Child Program in the provinces of Mayabeque and Artemisa.

To meet the new production challenge, the UEB Muebles Signo of Batabanó set up a workshop with a staff of 38 workers who rigorously comply with sanitary protocols such as hand disinfection, the mandatory use of the mask face and social distancing.
