Mayabeque, Cuba: The province of Mayabeque yesterday had an increase in people infected with Covid-19, reporting 262 cases, of which 31 do not require a source of infection, according to the official website of the Ministry of Public Health ( MINSAP) of Cuba.
The municipality with the highest incidence is Santa Cruz del Norte with a total of 65 diagnosed with the virus, followed by Güines with 61 and San José de las Lajas with 51 patients.
Batabanó reports 22 patients, Nueva Paz: 21, Madruga: 19, San Nicolás: 11, Melena del Sur: 6, Jaruco: 3, Quivicán: 2 and Bejucal: 1.
As evidenced, there is the presence of the virus in 10 of the 11 Mayabeque territories, which denotes the complex epidemiological scenario that the country is experiencing.
Yesterday in Cuba 61 people died, two of them are from Güines, so we deeply regret what happened and convey our condolences to their family and friends.
Once again we alert the population to maintain discipline, social distancing, the correct use of the mask face, to present themselves to the doctor if they have any of the symptoms of Covid-19 and to strictly comply with the guidelines of the country’s top management.
It is time to be united and face this terrible pandemic, the Cuban health system ensures the well-being of all, but citizen collaboration is essential.
