The first microenterprise in Mayabeque is approved for the production of dairy products.

Mayabeque, Cuba: The Ministry of Economy and Planning approved a few hours ago the start-up of the first microenterprise for the production of dairy products in the Mayabeque province, as established in Decree Law 46 that regulates the rules for its operation.

Located in the municipality of Güines, Los Rojas factory contributes with financial autonomy to local development as part of the improvement of the economy at the country level.

The Director of Economy and Planning in the province, Ileana Malem Munnet, specifies that it began as a local development project with ice cream and, based on the availability of milk, as an essential element in their productions, they make yogurt and cheese.

The positive impact of this microenterprise is in the multiplicity of the assortments, the possibilities of opening up to the exchange, purchase – sale and commercialization with other applicants, in addition to being productions that are not limited to a specific scheme, but to everything they can do.

The team that works in Los Rojas has autonomy for its development and fosters greater employment capacity while generating more income.

The sale of ice cream to the population is through a contract with the trading company according to the levels they produce and at the end of August they had paid 789 thousand pesos to the commercial circulation of the municipality of Güines.

In the current economic and social scenario, this micro-enterprise encourages exchange and commercialization with other partners based on the management of the applicant and the supplier according to their needs and the resources they have.

In the future, it will maintain the stability of the production of ice cream to offer in San Nicolás and other territories, in addition to aspiring to sell cheeses in tourist facilities and other places.
