Havana, Cuba: The Government of China donated 5,000 tons of rice to Cuba and is preparing conditions to send them shortly, diplomatic sources reported today, according to Radio Havana Cuba website.
The cargo is currently processed at the facilities of the Jiangxi Jingia Grain Corporation and will be transported by sea in the coming weeks, the island’s embassy in China detailed.
Authorities of the Asian country made a symbolic delivery of the lot to Cuban officials and thus demonstrated a new gesture of solidarity and friendship between both nations.
Apart from this donation, since last July, China transferred several shipments of medical devices to Cuba in support of the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.
