Havana, Cuba: More than 300 thousand convalescents from COVID-19 who suffered the disease between July 25 and August 31 will receive, starting this week, the single dose of the Sovereign Plus vaccine of the Finlay Vaccine Institute, once the two months established after receiving the medical discharge, Radio Habana Cuba publishes.
In the usual television press conference, Dr. María Elena Soto Entenza, head of the Department of Primary Health Care, of the Ministry of Public Health (Minsap), recalled that, between the end of September and October, the vaccine was administered to the convalescent patients who became ill from the beginning of the pandemic in 2020 until July of this year.
According to Soto Entenza, the administration of the immunogen will begin this week in the different vaccination centers of the country, and convalescents will be summoned at the level of Health areas to attend immunization with the single dose.
Once the period required to be vaccinated is completed, they will carry out a similar process in November with people who acquired the virus two months earlier, she clarified.
