Mayabeque, Cuba: The First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, exchanged with residents of Amistad con los Pueblos in the Popular Council Amistad-Río Seco of the municipality of Güines in Mayabeque .

In the dialogue, he learned about the main actions that take place there as part of the community resuscitation program to improve the quality of life of residents in rural areas.

Among these stands out the repair of the roof of the old barracks of the sugar plant where today more than 30 families reside, the installation of a tower for Internet connectivity, the improvement of public lighting and the repair of eight kilometers of the road to the El Barbudo community.

The Cuban president visited the commercial complex made up of the warehouse, the pharmacy and the cafeteria, and inquired about the offers and quality of the service while verifying the repairs recently carried out in this facility.

Clara Danger, a resident of La Gloria, in a colloquial exchange with Díaz-Canel expressed the feelings of the people and support for the Revolution because we will not let our conquests lose, she said excitedly; Here we are working with enthusiasm because we are confident that our country will succeed despite the blockade.

The Cuban president toured the Caraballo farm of various crops in the Güines production center to learn about the contracting of the field assortments, the link with the bank, operation of the irrigation machines, cultural attention to the plantations and the destination of the productions.

The First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba was accompanied by the Minister of Economy and Planning, Alejandro Gil Fernández, the Minister of Agriculture, Ydael Jesús Pérez Brito, and the Hero of the Republic of Cuba and National Coordinator of the Defense Committees of the Revolution, Gerardo Hernández Nordelo.
