Mayabeque, Cuba: Faithful to Marti’s precept Honor Honors, the people of Melena del Sur and the government authorities recognized the work of educators in one of the most difficult periods due to Covid-19 and when commemorating the 60th anniversary of the literacy campaign.
In keeping with such an important event, the Directorate of Education was awarded the stamp issued on the occasion of the anniversary.
Teachers with outstanding career received the José Tey medals, the Rafael María de Mendive Distinction and the Teachers for the Homeland diploma.
In the entertainment they praised the support for the vaccination process, the provision of services in the Isolation Centers, the sanitation of educational institutions and the contributions to food safety.
Emotive was the homage to Isabel Martínez Socarrás, a teacher with more than 45 years in the sector, as well as the freshness of the little ones, the music, the poetry and the dance that accompanied the party.
