Havana, Cuba: The Cuban Ministry of Public Health reported this Thursday five deaths and 733 positive samples for Covid-19 during the last 24 hours, for a total of 1 million 063 thousand 481 diagnoses since the beginning of the disease in the nation, Radio Habana Cuba reports.
At midnight yesterday, February 16, a total of 11 thousand 105 patients are admitted, 7 thousand 486 suspects in surveillance 98 and confirmed active 3 thousand 521.
For COVID-19, a total of 14,806 samples were taken for surveillance on the day, with 733 being positive for 5.0% positivity. The country accumulates 12 million 948 thousand 062 samples carried out and 1 million 063 thousand 481 positives (8.2%).
Of the total cases (733): 704 were contacts of confirmed cases, 26 with a source of infection abroad and 3 without a specified source of infection. Of the 733 diagnosed cases, 436 were female and 297 male.
12.4% (91) of the 733 positive cases were asymptomatic; accumulating a total of 144,651 (the data is repaired) which represents 13.6% of those confirmed to date.
Of the 733 diagnosed cases, they belong to the age groups: under 20 years old (148), 20 to 39 years old (184), 40 to 59 years old (254), 60 and over (147).
