Cuba: The Cuban Women Federation will dedicate the day of celebration for International Women’s Day, this March 8, to the 60th anniversary of the Young Communists League and the centenary of the University Student Federation, Radio Reloj reports.
The members of the women’s organization will demand the end of the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States government against Cuba.
The ideological official in the National Directorate of the FMC, Anisleydi Páez Rodríguez, said that the activities will be dedicated to young women. The initiatives will take place in the communities and will involve other organizations.
As part of the celebration, they will recognize the young protagonists in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. They will also incorporate new members to the organization.
