Havana International Book Fair from April 20 to 30.

Cuba: The Ministry of Culture and the Cuban Book Institute announce that the 30th International Book Fair of Havana will be held in the Cuban capital from April 20 to 30 and later in all the country’s provinces.

It will receive Mexico as guest of honor and will pay tribute to the 120th anniversary of the birth of the National Poet Nicolás Guillén and the centenarians of Carilda Oliver Labra and Jesús Orta Ruiz.

The event will be dedicated to the intellectuals Luis Álvarez Álvarez, National Prize for Literature, and Alberto Prieto Rozos, National Prize for Social and Humanistic Sciences.

The festival of letters will also remember the 140th anniversary of the publication of the poetry book Ismaelillo, by José Martí, and the novel Cecilia Valdés or La Loma del Ángel, by Cirilo Villaverde.

In addition to its traditional space in the San Carlos de la Cabaña Historical Military Complex, this year the Havana Historical Center is added as its main venue. In addition, it will celebrate its activities in the 11 usual sub-venues of Vedado, La Finca de los Monos and the Rancho Boyeros Agricultural Fair.

During the last four days of the Fair, the activities will be extended to all the municipalities of the capital, with multiple cultural actions aimed at the community.
