Mayabeque, Cuba: The National Meeting of Students of Agricultural Sciences 2022 is held in Mayabeque at the Agrarian University of Havana Fructuoso Rodríguez Pérez, from March 17 to 19.
125 delegates from all provinces participate in the event, representing each of the country’s universities.
The objective of the meeting is to increase students’ knowledge regarding food production and the food sovereignty plan.
New criteria emerged from the work in commissions, an opportunity for exchange on topics that contribute to the island’s agricultural development and food production.
Representatives of the Ministries of Higher Education, Agriculture and Science, Technology and Environment participate in the event.
The work agenda includes visits to highly experienced producers and tours of scientific institutions that contribute to the nation’s agricultural development and food sovereignty.
