Cuba: At midnight yesterday, March 31, a total of 8,129 patients were admitted, 4,491 suspected, 19 under surveillance, and 3,619 confirmed active.

For COVID-19, a total of 12,267 samples were taken for surveillance on the day, with 778 being positive for 6.3% positivity. The country accumulates 13 million 454 thousand 322 samples carried out and 1 million 091 thousand 063 positives (8.1%).

Of the total cases (778): 764 were contacts of confirmed cases, 10 with a source of infection abroad and 4 without a specified source of infection. Of the 778 diagnosed cases, 440 were female and 338 male.

4.0% (31) of the 778 positive cases were asymptomatic, accumulating a total of 146,111, which represents 13.4% of those confirmed to date.

On the day there were 774 discharges, 1 million 078 thousand 875 recovered patients accumulate (98.9%). 33 confirmed patients are treated in intensive care, of which 9 are critical and 24 are seriously ill.
