Havana, Cuba: The Cuban Ministry of Public Health reported this Wednesday one deceased and 676 positive samples for Covid-19 during the last 24 hours, for a cumulative of 1 million 094 thousand 352 diagnoses since the beginning of the disease in the nation, publishes Radio Habana Cuba.
At midnight yesterday, April 5, a total of 7 thousand 131 patients are admitted, 4 thousand 120 suspects, 18 under surveillance and 2 thousand 993 confirmed active.
For COVID-19, a total of 9,998 samples were taken for surveillance on the day, with 676 being positive. The country has accumulated 13,508,855 samples and 1,094,352 positives.
Of the total cases (676): 655 were contacts of confirmed cases; 4 with a foreign source of infection; 17 with no specified source of infection. Of the 676 diagnosed cases, 377 were female and 299 male.
4.9% (33) of the 676 positive cases were asymptomatic, accumulating a total of 146,294, which represents 13.4% of those confirmed to date.
The 676 diagnosed cases belong to the age groups: under 20 years old (184), 20 to 39 years old (141), 40 to 59 years old (160), 60 and over (191).
Of the million 094 thousand 352 patients diagnosed with the disease, 2 thousand 993 remain hospitalized, of them 2 thousand 971 with stable clinical evolution. There are 8 thousand 517 deaths (one in the day), lethality of 0.78% vs 1.25% in the world and 1.79% in the Americas; two evacuated, 57 returned to their countries, on the day there were 814 discharges, 1 million 082 thousand 783 recovered patients (98.9%) accumulate. 22 confirmed patients are treated in intensive care, of which 9 are critical and 13 are seriously ill.
