Havana, Cuba: The Cuban Ministry of Public Health reported this Friday 619 positive samples to Covid-19 during the last 24 hours, for a cumulative of 1 million 095 thousand 625 diagnoses since the beginning of the disease in the nation, Radio Havana Cuba publishes.

At midnight yesterday, April 7, a total of 7 thousand 074 patients are admitted, 4 thousand 198 suspects, 31 under surveillance and 2 thousand 845 confirmed active.

For COVID-19, a total of 12,057 samples were taken for surveillance on the day, with 619 being positive. The country has accumulated 13,532,870 samples taken and 1,095,625 positives.

Of the total cases (619): 601 were contacts of confirmed cases; 5 with a foreign source of infection; 13 with no specified source of infection. Of the 619 diagnosed cases, 352 were female and 267 male.

4.4% (27) of the 619 positive cases were asymptomatic, accumulating a total of 146,347, which represents 13.4% of those confirmed to date.

The 619 diagnosed cases belong to the age groups: under 20 years old (208), 20 to 39 years old (138), 40 to 59 years old (137), 60 and over (136).

Of the million 095 thousand 625 patients diagnosed with the disease, 2 thousand 845 remain hospitalized, of them 2 thousand 822 with stable clinical evolution. There are 8,517 deaths (no deaths are reported on the day), lethality of 0.78% vs 1.25% in the world and 1.79% in the Americas; two evacuees, 57 returned to their countries, on the day there were 607 discharges, they accumulate 1 million 084 thousand 204 (98.9%). 23 confirmed patients are treated in intensive care, of which 7 are critical and 16 are seriously ill.

Until April 07, 192 countries and 41 territories with cases of COVID-19 are reported in the world, rising to 495 million 835 thousand 845 the number of confirmed (+ 1 million 484 thousand 862) with respect to the previous report with 57 million 992 thousand 897 active cases and 6 million 193 thousand 509 deaths (+ 8 thousand 373) for a lethality of 1.25%.

In the region of the Americas, 153 million 162 thousand 800 confirmed cases (+ 131 thousand 550) are reported, 30.9% of the total cases reported in the world, with 17 million 073 thousand 368 active cases and 2 million 736 thousand 574 deceased (+ 1 thousand 729) for a lethality of 1.79%.
