Women in campaign I am all.

Mayabeque, Cuba: Agricultural producers from Güines, Bejucal and Madruga are linked to the Soy Todos campaign.

This project highlights the contributions of women to food sovereignty and sustainability, and their contribution to agri-food chains in five Cuban municipalities.

The initiative was presented on Facebook on March 12, with the participation of members of the creative team, producers and representatives of institutions and organizations that sponsor it.

Soy todos is part of the project Accelerating the sustainable production of food in Cuban municipalities, Prosam, coordinated by the Soil Institute of the Ministry of Agriculture and has the support of the Government of Canada, Care and Oxfam in Cuba.

The project offers technical assistance and equipment, in addition to promoting women’s leadership as part of its gender strategy.

The bet on equity is not accidental. Since 2015, the gender strategy of the Cuban Agriculture System has existed in the country and in 2020 the Food Sovereignty and Nutrition Education Plan was approved, which includes gender and generational equity among its strategic approaches.

It also includes a digital platform for initiatives and experiences led by women, which contribute to food sovereignty and sustainability; an audiovisual documentary on the different facets of producers, marketers and decision makers; in addition to the presentation on social networks and web spaces of practices and learning in agro-ecology, safety and waste management.
