The British newspaper The Guardian and the Canadian news channel CBC News highlighted the advancement of Cuban anti-COVID-19 vaccine candidates, almost ready for a mass vaccination in the country despite the limitations imposed by the economic, commercial and financial blockade of the United States against Cuba, Radio Rebelde publishes.

In an article entitled “Cuba fights above its weight to develop its own vaccine against COVID,” the English newspaper noted that of the 27 vaccine candidates against the SARS-COV-2 coronavirus that are in the final phase of international trials, two are Cuban.

The newspaper also highlighted, according to the Cuban news agency, that the Caribbean nation, besieged by the United States for 60 years, could become the smallest country in the world to have its own vaccine.

Meanwhile, the Canadian chain CBC News highlighted on Wednesday that Cuba is getting ready for a mass production of its vaccine candidates, once they are approved by its regulatory entities.

These media, concludes the Cuban News Agency, are added to the dozens of publications at the national level that in recent weeks have echoed the advances of Cuban science and biotechnology in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic, a disease that has already caused the world three million 249 thousand 649 deaths.
