Havana: At midnight yesterday, 3,858 patients are admitted to hospitals for clinical epidemiological surveillance, of them: 802 suspects, 2,559 under surveillance and 497 confirmed, the website of the Cuban Ministry of Public Health confirms.
For COVID-19 7,880 samples were studied, resulting in 83 positive samples. The country accumulates 808,077 samples carried out and 6,678 positives (0.83%).
The 83 diagnosed cases are Cuban; 81 are autochthonous and two imported. Of the total number of cases, 81 were contacts of confirmed cases and two with a source of infection abroad. Of the 83 confirmed cases, 26 were women and 57 men. 62.6% (52) of the positive cases were asymptomatic.
By province, the cases belong to Pinar del Río 54, Artemisa 4, La Habana 5 (2 imported), Sancti Spiritus 11, Ciego de Avila 9.
Of the 6,678 patients diagnosed with the disease, 497 (7.44%), 492 (98.9%) with stable clinical evolution remain confirmed. 128 deaths are reported (none in the day), two evacuated, 22 discharges of the day, 6,051 recovered patients (90.6%), one is in critical condition and four are reported seriously ill.
Until October 26, 185 countries with COVID-19 cases are reported, amounting to 43 million 140 thousand 202 confirmed cases (+382 thousand 155) and one million 155 thousand 235 deaths (+3 thousand 912) for a fatality of 2 , 67% (-0.02).
In the region of the Americas 19 million 802 thousand 598 confirmed cases (+107 thousand 316) are reported, 45.90% of the total cases reported in the world, with 627 thousand 198 deaths (+ thousand 427) for a fatality of 3.17% (-0.01).
