Mayabeque, Cuba: With the presence of the member of the Political Bureau and Secretary General of the Cuban Workers Federation (CTC), Ulises Guilarte de Nacimiento, the Plenum of the Provincial Committee of the workers’ organization in Mayabeque, agreed to release the companion Ismaris Díaz Cabrera from the post of Secretary General recognizing her work, the Mayabeque newspaper published.
Díaz Cabrera will be assigned other tasks in the Party. Instead, the promotion of Fernando Fuentes Flores, who was a Professional Member of the Secretariat of that same Provincial Committee, was approved.
For its part, the Plenum of the Municipal Committee of the Party in San José de las Lajas, in an ordinary meeting, agreed to release comrade Eduardo Viera Matos from the position of First Secretary, recognizing his work in the period he carried out that responsibility, he will be assigned other tasks in the Party. In his place, it was approved the promotion of Alberto Torres Hernández, who was a Member of the Executive Bureau of the Municipal Committee of the Party in that municipality.
Alberto Torres Hernández is a higher level education graduate, in the specialty of Agricultural Engineer, with extensive experience as a political leader; he began in 2002 as a professional cadre of the Young Communists League (UJC), passing through different responsibilities in youth organization until reaching First Secretary in San José de las Lajas. In 2006 he was promoted to Second Secretary of the Provincial Committee of the UJC in Havana and later to the National Committee. He begins in 2018 as an official in the Municipal Committee of the Party in San José de las Lajas, where he was promoted to Member of the Executive Bureau in 2019.
