Havana: When carrying out a new exchange with experts and scientists, who directly confront Covid-19 in the country, the President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, reiterated the usefulness of these work meetings, where the results demonstrate the strengths of Cuban protocols in the treatment of the disease, Radio Reloj publishes.
In particular, the Head of State highlighted the efforts being made to care for the pediatric population; from the first moment of the epidemic they had a differentiated follow-up.
Commenting on the favorable evolution of the lethality of the disease in Cuba, another of the topics widely analyzed during this new meeting based in the Palace of the Revolution, the president noted that in the last 38 days we have mourned the death of three people and none in the most recent ten.
In turn, he stressed, the number of patients who go into a critical or severe state continues to decrease, most of whom remain in this condition for a short time. “That also demonstrates the robustness of the protocols that have been used,” he emphasized.
Díaz-Canel also expressed his certainty that, as the days go by and by incorporating the experience acquired by the medical brigades that return from facing the epidemic in other nations, better working protocols will be available in all settings, fundamentally in the operation of intensive therapies.
