According to the information from the Forecast Center of the Cuban Institute of Meteorology, Tropical Storm Laura has intensified in its advance towards the west of the country, so taking into account its characteristics and trajectory it was decided to establish the Alarm Phase for the provinces of Ciego de Ávila, Sancti Spíritus, Villa Clara and Cienfuegos, and the Alert Phase for the provinces of Matanzas, Mayabeque, Havana, Artemisa, Pinar del Rio and the Special Municipality of Isla de la Juventud, starting at 06:00 hours from today.
The state organs and agencies, economic and social entities and the population must be attentive to the information of the Institute of Meteorology and comply with discipline the guidelines of the Civil Defense and local authorities.
