Peasants from Madruga concreted the export of Persian lime to Spain.

Mayabeque, Cuba: Frutas Selectas company concreted the export of Persian lime to Spain, through a contract with farmers from Madruga, Mayabeque, as a result of the Cuban government’s interest in encouraging exports in non-state forms of management.

According to the website of the Cuban News Agency, on its official Twitter account the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment (MINCEX) highlighted this progress and described it as an example of how much can be achieved with the implementation of the more recent measures to stimulate the export of quality products.

Likewise, the Center for the Promotion of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment (ProCuba), referred in the same social network that this is a case of success, since achieving the necessary linkages for the export activity to be carried out is a task of order of the Cuban economy.

The general director of Foreign Trade of MINCEX, Vivian Herrera, reported through a tweet that after this news other deliveries are being prepared for the coming months.

The Cuban government encourages exports as a measure to develop the country’s economy, and calls on farmers and producers to produce high-quality food that contributes to this end.

From the MINCEX a debate forum will be held on September 24 from 9:00 to 12:00 in the morning to answer questions and clarify aspects about the export and import of non-state forms of management.
