For COVID-19, 7 thousand 625 samples were studied, resulting in 40 positive samples. The country accumulates 569 thousand 371 samples carried out and 5 thousand 310 positive (0.93%). The 40 diagnosed cases are Cubans, 39 autochthonous and one imported.
37 were contact of confirmed cases, two without a specified source of infection and one with the source of infection abroad. 14 are male and 26 are female. The 50% were asymptomatic.

Two patients are reported in critical condition and 5 in serious condition.
Until September 23, 185 countries with COVID-19 cases are reported, it amounts to 31 million 858 thousand 573 confirmed cases (+ 281 thousand 515) and 971 thousand 869 deaths (+ 6 thousand 188) for a fatality of 3.06 (-0.02).
In the region of the Americas, 15 million 919 thousand 539 confirmed cases are reported (+ 108 thousand 636), 50.28% of the total cases reported in the world, with 537 thousand 929 deaths (+ 3 thousand 383) for a fatality of 3.37% (-0,01).
