Caracas: The National Electoral Council (CNE) will publish today the list of candidates who will participate in the parliamentary elections on December 6, as announced by the president of the entity Indira Alfonzo, Prensa Latina publishes.
When offering the balance of the electoral schedule, the rector explained that on September 18 the stage of visible modifications in the electoral ballot of the Automated System of Nominations culminated, for which this Monday the seats and the candidates for each political organization.
Regarding the Community Assemblies of the indigenous peoples, Alfonzo explained that the process concluded and developed satisfactorily in more than three thousand communities where there are representations of the native peoples in the country.
In this way, she indicated, the indigenous spokespersons who will participate in the General Assembly on December 9, which will be held in accordance with their customs, were elected to appoint the three representatives of those communities in the new Parliament.
She also highlighted the ecumenical meeting with the representatives of various churches in the country, who expressed their willingness to cooperate with the process and call their parishioners to vote as a right.
Regarding the development of the electoral campaign, the president of the Electoral Power stated that due to the Covid-19 pandemic, it will be atypical and with greater use of new technologies.
