Venezuela: The Venezuelan Government denounced the presence of the guided missile destroyer U.S. William Láurenz, at a distance of 16.1 nautical miles from the its coasts, Radio Reloj publishes.
Through a communiqué published in Twitteer, the Foreign Minister Jorge Arreaza said that the Bolivarian Navy made contact with the ship which alleged it was carrying out patrol operations against drug trafficking.
However, the Venezuelan authorities point out that the use of a warship with a long-range missile capacity to carry out alleged operations of this nature draws profound attention and, therefore, they consider that it is clearly a deliberate act of provocation, by others erratic and childish.
Faced with the event, the South American nation expressed that it will not fall into absurd provocations that seek to alter the peace and security of the Venezuelan people and the brotherly Caribbean peoples.
