Havana, Cuba: At midnight yesterday, October 4, 4,573 patients were admitted to hospitals for clinical epidemiological surveillance, of them: 691 suspects, 3,394 under surveillance and 488 confirmed, the official website of the MINSAP publishes.
For COVID-19 7,334 samples were studied, resulting in 36 positive samples. The country accumulates 651,035 samples made and 5,845 positive.
The 36 diagnosed cases are Cuban, 34 were contacts of confirmed cases and two without a specified source of infection. 19 were men and 17 women. 52.7% of the positive cases were asymptomatic.

Of the 5 thousand 845 patients diagnosed with the disease, 488 (8.34%) remain confirmed, 487 (99.7%) with stable clinical evolution. 123 deaths are reported (one of the day), two evacuated and 5 thousand 232 recovered patients (87 discharges of the day). A patient is reported in serious condition.
Until October 4, 185 countries with COVID-19 cases are reported, the confirmed cases amount to 34 million 986 thousand 502 (+ 306 thousand 241) and 1 million 034 thousand 240 deaths (+ 4 thousand 715) for a lethality of 2, 96.
