Mayabeque, Cuba: The Attorney General Office of the Republic (FGR), in Mayabeque, carries out a joint effort with the Ministry of Education with the aim of protecting minors and preventing them from becoming victims.
According to the family protection prosecutor, Fernando Sierra Almeida, the Health Directorate and the Ministry of Labor joined these tasks and include the observance of minors at school, the community, the warning of the behavior of parents before the development of the child and the conciliation with the juvenile specialist.
In each territory there is also a prevention group that carries out actions with minor victims, with suicide attempts, or who have had any other conduct contrary to their normal development.
The protection of vulnerable sectors of Cuban society, fundamentally girls and boys, adolescents and young people, is a priority of the Attorney General’s Office.
