Havana: Cuba reported 56 new positive cases to Covid-19 and regrets the death of a person victim of the disease, at midnight this Thursday, October 15, Radio Habana Cuba reports.
The figure is the result of 7 thousand 592 samples studied in the different Molecular Biology laboratories of the national territory.
Of those infected, 46 are autochthonous and 10 have a source of infection abroad, 43 are contacts of confirmed cases, and the source of infection is not specified for three at the time of real-time PCR. Of the people diagnosed, 24 are female, and 32 are male.
290 remain afflicted with Covid-19 in the hospitals, from which 285 have a stable clinical evolution. Three patients are in serious condition, and two critical, one in Villa Clara and the other in Havana.
Yesterday there were 24 medical discharges with which there are 5,702 patients recovered.
The national director of Epidemiology of MINSAP pointed out that the 46 new autochthonous cases were reported in the provinces of Pinar del Río (11); Havana (19); Sancti Spíritus (12) and Ciego de Ávila (4).
While those imported belong to the provinces of Camagüey (2); Holguin (1); Granma (2); Santiago de Cuba (1); Guantánamo (3) and the Isla de la Juventud Special Municipality (1).
Sancti Spíritus is the territory with the highest incidence rate in the country in the last 15 days (35.84), followed by Ciego de Ávila (20.82), and, Havana (6.46).
Ciego de Ávila and Sancti Spíritus remain in the Limited Autochthonous Transmission Phase, and Havana, in Phase III of recovery, in the confrontation with Covid-19.
Cuba, with a fatality rate of 0.45%, is below the Americas (3.26) and the rest of the world (2.83).
