Havana: At midnight yesterday November 11th, 8,203 samples were studied for COVID-19, resulting in 58 positive samples. The country accumulates 943 thousand 784 samples made and 7 thousand 487 positive, the official website of MINSAP reports.
Of the 58 diagnosed cases, 32 are autochthonous and 26 are imported (15 foreigners and 11 Cubans). Of the total number of cases, thirty-one were contacts of confirmed cases; twenty-six have a source of infection abroad and one without a specified source of infection
74.1% (43) of the 58 positive cases were asymptomatic.
The cases belong to Pinar del Río 19, (1 imported), Havana 6 (2 imported), Matanzas 1 imported, Sancti Spiritus 8, Ciego de Avila 15 imported cases, Camagüey 4 (3 imported), Holguin 4 imported cases and Santiago of Cuba 1.
Up today, 430 confirmed patients remain admitted, of which 428 have a stable clinical condition. 131 deaths are reported (one in the day), two evacuated, 93 discharges of the day, 6,924 recovered patients (92.4%) and two patients in intensive care are accumulated, of them one critical and one seriously ill.
Until November 11, 185 countries with COVID-19 cases are reported, the confirmed cases amount to 51 million 552 thousand 216 (+ 557 thousand 958) and 1 million 274 thousand 311 deaths (+ 10 thousand 234) for a fatality of 2 , 47.
