Cuba: At midnight yesterday, November 24, 3,429 patients were admitted for clinical epidemiological surveillance, 756 suspected, 2,252 under surveillance and 421 confirmed.
For COVID-19, 9,981 samples were studied, resulting in 76 positive samples.
Of the total of cases, fifty four were contacts of confirmed cases, 17 with a source of infection abroad and five without a specified source of infection.
Of the 76 cases diagnosed, 73 are Cuban and three are foreigners. The 62.6% (46) were asymptomatic.
The cases belong to Pinar del Río 28 (1 imported), Artemisa: 3 (imported), Havana: 4 (imported), Cienfuegos: 3 (imported), Ciego de Ávila: 3 (2 imported), Holguín: 6 cases ( 2 imported), Granma: 1 (imported), Santiago de Cuba: 28 cases (1 imported).
Of the 8,026 patients diagnosed with the disease, 421 (5.2%), 418 (99.2%) have stable clinical evolution. 133 deaths are reported (none in the day), two evacuated, 42 discharges of the day, 7,470 recovered patients accumulate (93%) and three patients in intensive care, one critical and two serious.
Until November 23, 186 countries with COVID-19 cases are reported, the confirmed cases amount to 58 million 767 thousand 176 (+ 491 thousand 743) and 1 million 388 thousand 661 deaths (+ 6 thousand 512) for a fatality of 2 , 36 (-0.01).
In the region of the Americas, 25 million 152 thousand 427 confirmed cases (+ 213 thousand 203) are reported, 42.80% of the total cases reported in the world, with 704 thousand 204 deaths (+ thousand 904) for a fatality of 2 , 80% (-0.02).
