Caracas: Today the revolutionary forces of Venezuela face the challenge of recovering the National Assembly (unicameral Parliament) from the hands of the opposition in the elections on December 6, Prensa Latina publishes.
Putting the parliamentary body at the service of the needs of the nation, after five years of a legislature dominated by the interests of the most radical factions of the Venezuelan right, constitutes the main objective of the political organizations related to the Bolivarian Revolution.
The president of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, called on the eve of the popular sectors to seal a great victory in the elections next Sunday, to consolidate the revolutionary process in the South American nation.
During a meeting with the militants of the Great Patriotic Pole, the Venezuelan president announced the decision to abandon the Presidency of the Republic if the opposition parties once again obtain the parliamentary majority.
‘I leave my destiny in the least of the people of Venezuela; If the opposition parties win on Sunday, we will take another path”,said Maduro, who expressed his confidence in the conscience of the revolutionary forces. “I assume this challenge, we know that the people will go out to vote and we will have a triumph for the Bolivarian Revolution,” stressed the president of Venezuela, whose determination highlighted the strategic importance of the democratic event for the continuity of the socio-political process.
The head of State recalled the position of conspiracy and conspiracy assumed from within the National Assembly by the sectors in favor of political sabotage and the confrontation in search of the overthrow of a democratically elected government.
In this sense, the candidate for deputy for the Great Patriotic Pole Cilia Flores described the December 6 elections as the golden opportunity to reverse all the damage done to the country by the right from the legislative body through the promotion of aggressions and coercive measures.
‘We can reverse all that damage, we are on time; (…) I am sure that the support of the people will be for the Revolution and for President Nicolás Maduro, ’said the candidate for Parliament, representing the unitary bloc made up of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela and its allies.
More than 20 million Venezuelans are called to vote in the parliamentary elections, marked by the nomination of more than 14 thousand candidates representing a hundred political organizations, the majority of opposition tendencies.
