Mayabeque, Cuba: The cultivation of products destined for export is one of the priorities of the workers of the Agricultural Company 19 de Abril in Quivicán.
The entity has several producers inserted in this task, despite the fact that the process is beginning in the productive forms of the cooperative sector.
To carry out these export tasks, they carry out several training activities with the peasants. Among them, seminars, in conjunction with research centers, to obtain higher quality products in accordance with international standards.
The company’s agricultural director, Heredio Godin, said that at the moment the main clients are Canada and the Mariel Special Development Zone. They are currently working to increase the variety of products and destinations for exports.
