Havana, Cuba: Cuba today intensifies the confrontation with Covid-19, while advancing in the implementation of the Ordering Task, and promoting priority programs for its socio-economic development.
Recent measures adopted by the country’s top management seek to ensure effective control of compliance with the health provisions aimed at containing the outbreak of the SARS CoV-2 coronavirus, which causes Covid-19.
Since last Saturday, the nation resumed the institutional isolation of international travelers arriving on the Island, for which spaces and facilities were conditioned in all provinces.
Previously, it established the total restriction of night mobility for people and vehicles in Havana, among other actions; while the rest of the country reinforced sanitary control, in line with the epidemiological situation in each territory.
Based on the criteria and demands of the population, Cuba continues the implementation of the Ordering Task, which includes monetary unification, the elimination of certain subsidies and gratuities, as well as the reform of wages and prices.
In response to these opinions, the amounts of fines against price violators were increased, and for the retention and non-commercialization of merchandise destined for sale, as well as those who violated the sanitary measures in force.
The country also expanded this weekend to more than two thousand activities in which it allows the exercise of self-employment (private), hard hit by the United States blockade and the complex epidemiological situation derived from Covid-19.
Likewise, President Miguel Díaz-Canel directed working with responsibility and dedicating greater efforts to prioritized programs such as those for Housing and food production.
After concluding last Thursday a cycle of government visits to all the provinces, which began in January, the head of state noted on Twitter: We evaluate the errors, but also the potentialities and actions to overcome the current outbreak of the pandemic and advance in the Task Ordering.
