Havana, Cuba: The President of the Republic of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, highlighted on the social network Twitter that clinical trials of Cuban anti-Covid-19 vaccines are going well, Radio Reloj reports.
In a message posted on his account on that social network, Díaz-Canel described the recent meeting held with Cuban scientists working on the four vaccine candidates: Soberana 01, Soberana 02, Abdala and Mambisa, as stimulating.
During an encounter with scientists and experts, the update of the virus sequencing studies and the process of the vaccine candidates from the Finlay Vaccine Institute and the Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology was presented.
At the meeting, Dr. Ileana Morales, director of Science and Technological Innovation of the Ministry of Public Health, said that they are currently conducting more than 6 new clinical trials to confront Covid-19.
