Havana, Cuba: The president of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel, today celebrated the annulment of the sentences against the former president of Brazil Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva in the case of the Lava Jato operation.
In his official Twitter account, the head of state wrote: “we celebrate the acquittal of @LulaOficial (account on that platform of the former president).”
In the same way, he assured that what happened comes to confirm how many excesses and abuses are committed against the Latin American left, and transmitted the message of “be alert”.
Yesterday, Judge Edson Fachin, of the Supreme Federal Court of Brazil, invalidated the sentences against the founder of the Workers’ Party for the justice of the state of Paraná.
With that determination, Lula regains his political rights and could run in the presidential elections next year.
