Pyongyang: In a message sent on Wednesday to Army General Raul Castro, the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) ratifies its total support and solidarity with the Cuban Communist Party and people in the defense of socialism, Prensa Latina publishes.
The verbal message of Secretary General of the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK), Kim Jong Un, summarizes the fight guidelines and ‘scientific and realistic’ strategic and tactic tasks resulting from the recently concluded 8th WPK Congress.
They aimed at introducing new innovations in the work of the party and the State in accordance with the new foreign and internal situation and reality, the text points out.
In the message sent to Raul Castro, who is also First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC), Kim notes that the congress, which was held in January, adopted practical measures ‘to strengthen the party’s leadership and consolidate and develop the State’s social system.’
It also debated and decided political positions on the increase in the national defense potential, relations between both Korean parties and DPRK-US ties. .
WPK secretary general ratifies that political organization’s willingness to consolidate and develop fraternal ties of unity and strategic cooperation with Cuba ‘in the path of fight for the victory of the socialist cause’ and boldly deploy the joint fight against imperialism.
The text reaffirms the Korean party and people’s total support and solidarity with the fight of the Cuban party and people in the defense of socialism and expresses the conviction that the 8th PCC Congress, slated for April 16-19, will mark an important milestone.
Kim claims that this congress, due in Havana for next month, will record the ‘transcendental advance’ in this political organization’s fight to further strengthen its ranks, increase its leadership role and build a prosperous socialist State.
