Havana, Cuba: The Council of State adopted three Decree-Laws and an agreement, related to important issues of current Cuban affairs, such as telecommunications, state-owned companies, and social security.
At the meeting, headed by the head of the National Assembly of People’s Power, Esteban Lazo Hernández, and which had the participation, by videoconference, of the President of the Republic of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, and the Prime Minister, Manuel Marrero Cruz, the members of this body approved the Decree-Law of Telecommunications, Information and Communication Technologies, and the Use of the Radio-electric Spectrum.
This legislation will contribute to the computerization of the country, to technological sovereignty, to the efficient management of the radio-electric spectrum, to safeguard the principles of security and invulnerability of telecommunications for the benefit of the economy, society, Security and National Defense, the site of the Cuban Parliament stressed.
In the session, the Decree-Law of the Cuban State Business System was approved, which regulates the principles of organization and operation of state-owned companies, affiliated companies and superior business management organizations that make up the Cuban state business system.
It was also signed the Decree-Law amending Law 105, Social Security Law, of December 27, 2008, by virtue of the measures approved to strengthen the socialist state enterprise, and in order to facilitate the return to employment of pensioners by age.
Likewise, they adopted the agreement for the creation of the National Innovation Council, a consultative body of the State, which will assist the President of the Republic in recommending decisions to promote innovation in the operation of the State, the Government, the economy and societ, in a coordinated and integrated way.
