Mayabeque, Cuba: In order to promote the transportation of cargo by rail, the operators of the Workshop of the Base Business Unit (UEB) Ferrocarriles Mayabeque, prepare their equipment.
On the subject, the Director of the entity, Wiyisley Izquierdo Reyes, explains: “We are repairing cages, boxes for the exclusive use of transportation of ceramic slabs to the east of the country and Pinar del Río.”
At the same time, the mechanics are paying attention to the rest of the railway services in the province. “We are repairing cages for the transfer of sugarcane belonging to the centrals of the province, the Ferroazúcar Company and the cars for the Güines-Los Palos train.”
Among the immediate challenges is to encourage the productive chain between the railway sector and the factories of Santa Cruz del Norte, increase the transfer of raw materials and goods, which has an impact on the reduction of fuel use.
