Mayabeque, Cuba: The Institute of Meteorology issued a note informing that in the last 24 hours the rains were numerous in the western region of the country, including in the Mayabeque province.
The Cuban News Agency reports that in some localities of the demarcation the strong and intense rainfall caused higher accumulations in some points such as in Bainoa with 127.9 mm and in Tapaste 110.3 mm.
The rains were associated with the passage of Tropical Storm Elsa through the western region of the country.
Although the hydrometeorological phenomenon continues to move north and away from the national territory, the feeding bands of this cyclonic organism continue to affect the west of the country, with showers and rains at intervals.
