Brasilia: Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro felt abdominal pain and entered the Hospital of the Armed Forces in this capital today to undergo examinations, which forced the cancellation of scheduled meetings.
According to the news portal G1, the ex-military man complained in recent days of this afflictive feeling. The Planalto Palace (headquarters of the Executive Power) did not give details about the state of health of the president.
The agenda for the day included a meeting with the presidents of the Senate, Rodrigo Pacheco, of the Chamber of Deputies, Arthur Lira, and of the Supreme Federal Court, Luiz Fux.
The meeting was set this week, with the aim of calming the atmosphere between the powers of the Republic.
Bolsonaro would also participate, in a meeting of the National Coordination Committee for Coping with the Covid-19 Pandemic and in the Planalto Palace he would attend the presentation of a program called Actions for the New High School.
In mid-April, the ruler revealed that he would have to undergo a new surgery to correct a hernia.
This is the seventh operation of the head of state after the stabbing that he suffered in September 2018, during the electoral campaign.
