Ministry of Public Health confirms 7,903 new cases of Covid-19 in Cuba.

Havana: The national director of Epidemiology of the Ministry of Public Health of Cuba, Dr. Francisco Durán, reported this Tuesday 75 deaths and 7,903 positive samples for Covid-19 during the last 24 hours, for a cumulative of 349 thousand 55 diagnoses since the beginning of the disease in the nation, Radio Habana Cuba reports.

During his usual press conference, the specialist reported that at midnight yesterday 60,828 patients were admitted, of them 14,749 suspects, 3,725 in epidemiological surveillance and 42,354 confirmed positives.

Durán explained that the country analyzed 47 thousand 616 samples the day before for an accumulated of 6 million 309 thousand 783 samples analyzed.

The epidemiologist announced that, of the 7,903 patients, 510 were asymptomatic at the time of diagnosis, 7,823 have a source of infection in previously confirmed cases, 18 have a source of infection abroad and in 62 people the source is unknown contagion and 7,885 autochthonous.

Of the total of those confirmed, 3,858 are male and 4,445 female. Regarding the age groups, 1,569 children under 19 years of age were diagnosed, and 1,486 in pediatric ages. In the ages of 20 to 39 years, 2,286 cases were confirmed, between 40 and 59 years 2,519 cases and 1,529 people older than 60 years.

Pinar del Río: 176, Artemisa: 303, Havana: 1,552, Mayabeque: 337, Matanzas: 993, Cienfuegos: 649, Villa Clara: 588, Sancti Spíritus: 230, Ciego de Ávila: 901, Camagüey: 352, Las Tunas: 200, Granma: 187, Holguín: 716, Santiago de Cuba: 345 and Guantánamo: 374.

The specialist specified that of the 349 thousand 55 patients diagnosed with the disease from the beginning of it, 42 thousand 354 of them remain confirmed, 41 thousand 970 with stable clinical evolution. 2 thousand 492 deaths are reported (75 in the last day). The two evacuees remain, 54 returnees and 304,153 recovered patients accumulate (7,812 discharges of the day). 153 critically ill patients and 231 critically ill patients are reported.
