Open exchange on different topics.

La Habana: Havana: The president of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel, exchanged today with students from the Manuel Fajardo University of Physical Culture and Sports Sciences about the experiences of young people in different social tasks, Prensa Latina reports.

At the meeting, held in the La Mariposa multisport hall, the president listened to proposals to improve the functioning of government structures and achieve a greater scope of social benefit works, the Presidency published on his Twitter channel.

As part of the dialogue, a teacher who is a district delegate in La Timba, in the Plaza de la Revolución municipality, in Havana, commented on the transformations undertaken in that neighborhood, to solve difficulties that affected the community.

The young woman highlighted the need to keep this job and make it sustainable over time, as in 60 other towns in the capital.

The students also alluded to the problems that hinder the operation of the isolation centers where they have worked as support staff, and shared the experience of contributing to the feeding of the center and its environment through cultivation in gardens.

The Cuban president has already spoken on other occasions with the students and professors of ‘Fajardo’, as they commonly say to this university, hence the exchange on Thursday becomes a continuity of those spaces.

During the morning, the head of state held a meeting with journalists, where they addressed issues such as the media war against the country, the construction of a new model of public press for socialism, and the importance of changing discourses and reaching all sectors of the population.
