61st Anniversary of the Cuban Women Federation.

Mayabeque, Cuba: The Cuban Women Federation (FMC by its Spanish initials) turns 61, an organization that synthesizes the dreams and aspirations of women who defy danger in the different moments that they have had to live.

In times of pandemic caused by Covid-19, the faithful followers of Mariana Grajales, Celia Sánchez, Vilma Espín and other courageous compatriots are in the right place, whether at home taking care of the family or the workplace complying with the duty of each day.

The current situation caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus is difficult, but in any health entity in Mayabeque or the rest of the country, women are at the forefront giving their best, defying the danger in the face of the terrible disease.

I make a stop and look at the Public Health sector to highlight the avant-garde role played by doctors, nurses and other health technology workers in the face of the pandemic.

The recognition is also extended to the female scientist, especially the creators of the anticovid-19 vaccine candidates in the country.

This August 23, the 61st anniversary of the Cuban Women Federation, we arrived at the date stronger than ever, because in the midst of a pandemic, under the watchful eye of the brutal blockade of the United States and the constant provocations to destroy the Revolution … We, the Cuban women remain standing, with our heads held high, saying Yes for this socialist homeland.
