Havana, Cuba: The restart of the 2020-2021 school year will begin in Cuba when the epidemiological situation allows it, Prensa Latina publishes.
The website of the Ministry of Education (Mined by its Spanish initals) reported this today referring to a tour of its minister, Ena Elsa Velázquez, through several provinces in which she verified the situation in those territories.
The work team headed by Velázquez verified the conception of each Cuban province to begin and end the school year when sanitary conditions allow it.
It also considered the incorporation of teachers and students to the tasks of social impact in the territories and the specification of how the Professional Technical Education and Pedagogical Training will be developed, the publication indicated.
The Ministry also highlighted the work of workers in the educational sector in isolation centers, vaccinations and in the care of vulnerable people as part of the confrontation with Covid-19.
During the tour, compliance with the health protocols, the stability of the water service, the general hygiene of the schools and the quality of the construction maintenance carried out were verified.
For the beginning of the school year, the Ministry of Education will communicate the particularities in a timely manner.
