Mayabeque, Cuba: Public health professionals in the municipality of Güines prioritize medical services, while implementing actions to guarantee drug coverage, the availability of resources, and care in hospitals and isolation centers.
The purpose is to safeguard people’s lives, amid the complex epidemiological situation of the territory and the threat of Tropical Storm Ida.
According to the director of public health in this municipality, Dra Enmaida Fernández Marcos, the health authorities in this municipality carry out actions to guarantee medical services in the face of Hurricane Ida and the possible effects derived from its impact on the demarcation.
She added that medical care is maintained to assist patients sick with COVID-19 and the consultation of acute respiratory infections.
