Havana: The Cuban Ministry of Public Health (Minsap) notified 2,638 new infections with the SARS-Cov-2 virus, which causes Covid-19, and 37 deaths in the last hours, Radio Habana Cuba reports.
According to that portfolio, the Caribbean country has accumulated 923,966 patients with Covid-19 since March 2020 and 7,928 people lost their lives due to complications related to the pandemic.
There are currently 15,284 active cases in the country, “a low figure compared to yesterday -860 less-, an expression of the number of discharges that have been taking place and the number of positives that are reported daily,” he stressed in his daily appearance by Dr. Francisco Durán García, National Director of Epidemiology of the Ministry of Public Health (Minsap).
Cuba woke up this Tuesday with 37,258 patients admitted: 19,361 suspects, 2,613 in surveillance, and 15,284 confirmed (active cases).
After processing 27,134 samples, 2,638 people were diagnosed with COVID-19 – 307 fewer than the previous day. Cuba accumulates 10,021,878 samples processed for the diagnosis of the disease, which has allowed the confirmation of 923,966 (9.2%) cases since March 2020.
