Havana, Cuba: The president of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel, emphasized the dignity, resistance and unity of the people as the most powerful forces in the face of subversion attempts supported from the United States, Radio Habana Cuba publishes.
Through his Twitter account, the president shared an editorial in the Granma newspaper, the official organ of the Communist Party of Cuba, which dismantles the destabilizing purposes of a march called for next November.
“Dignity, resistance and unity are our most powerful forces in the face of the dishonorable and rogue annexationist action that serves the historic enemy of the Cuban nation in his plan to divide us to defeat us,” the head of state wrote.
According to the Granma article, the organizers of that act originally called for the 20th of next month, try to wrap themselves in the Constitution to legitimize the provocation.
They use constitutional precepts to defend unconstitutional strategies, the text said.
The newspaper inserted Article 45 of the Magna Carta, according to which “the exercise of people’s rights is only limited by the rights of others, collective security, general welfare, respect for public order, the Constitution and to the laws “.
Granma recalled that the current Constitution was approved just three years ago by 86.85 percent of the voters and establishes that; “In no case are the pronouncements on the irrevocability of the socialist system established in Article 4, and the prohibition to negotiate under the circumstances set forth in paragraph a) of Article 16.”
It is clear that neither now nor in the future the right to demonstrate can be used to subvert the political system, overthrow the socialist project or to establish alliances with groups and organizations that receive foreign financing with the objective of promoting the interests of the government of the United States, he added.
