Havana, Cuba: The Cuban Ministry of Public Health reported 413 new infections of Covid-19 and four deaths this Tuesday, Radio Havana Cuba publishes.
In its report, the entity specified that there are 7,698 patients admitted, 4,719 suspects, 593 under surveillance and 2,386 confirmed active.
For Covid-19, a total of 16,993 samples were made for surveillance during the day, accumulating 10 million 720 thousand 227 samples taken and 957 thousand 332 positive.
Of the total cases (413): 408 were contacts of confirmed cases; three with a source of infection abroad; two without a specified source of infection. Of those diagnosed, 228 were female and 185 male.
16.2% (67) of the 413 positive cases were asymptomatic, accumulating a total of 131 thousand 798, which represents 13.7% of those confirmed to date.
The 413 diagnosed cases belong to the age groups: under 20 years old (71), from 20 to 39 years old (87), from 40 to 59 years old (137) and over 60 (118).
Of the 957,332 patients diagnosed with the disease, 2,386 remain hospitalized, of them 2,316 with stable clinical evolution. There are 8,274 deaths (4 in the day), a fatality of 0.86% vs 2.02% in the world and 2.44% in the Americas; two evacuees, 55 returned to their countries, on the day there were 552 discharges, 946 thousand 615 recovered patients accumulate (98.9%). Seventy confirmed patients are cared for in intensive care, 20 of them critical and 50 seriously ill.
On the day, 4 deceased patients were reported. We deeply regret what happened and convey our condolences to his family and friends.
