Mayabeque, Cuba: Directors of the permanent work commissions of the National Assembly of People’s Power (Parliament) today begin a visit to the province of Mayabeque, in order to check the development of prioritized programs in the country, reports the Cuban News Agency.
A note from the Cuban Parliament, published on its website that the two-day tour includes the municipalities of San José de las Lajas, Güines, San Nicolás and Santa Cruz del Norte.
The work team exchanges with the population, the delegates and presidents of popular councils, to also verify compliance with the hygienic-sanitary measures established for the prevention and confrontation of COVID-19.
The source indicates that this activity responds to the recent call of the President of Parliament, Esteban Lazo Hernández, who stated in videoconference that the gradual modification of the epidemiological situation would allow more systematic exchanges with the different territories.
