Mayabeque, Cuba: A group of workers from the National Center for Bio-preparations received the Men of Science Seal, instituted by the Cuban Workers’ Federation to honor and recognize scientists and researchers for their innovative contributions to the confrontation of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Cuban News Agency reports.
They also distinguished the founders of the center, researchers, technologists and specialists linked to the production of Biomodulin T, the Viral Transport Medium and the Universal Transport Medium, which contribute to the diagnosis of the disease in the country.
During the event, the Vice President of the BioCubaFarma Business Group, Eulogio Pimentel Vázquez, recalled Commander in Chief Fidel Castro and his efforts to structure the Cuban biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry.
Pimentel Vázquez recognized that the combination of good drugs, vaccines and the work of the Cuban health system were a strength to contain the spread of the pandemic in the country.
