Havana, Cuba: The Cuban Ministry of Public Health reported on Tuesday four deaths and 136 samples positive for Covid-19 during the last 24 hours, for a cumulative of 962 thousand 486 diagnoses since the beginning of the disease in the nation. Radio Habana Cuba reports.
At midnight yesterday, November 29, 3,180 patients were admitted, 2,252 suspects, 140 under surveillance and 788 confirmed active.
For COVID-19, a total of 14 thousand 738 samples were made for surveillance during the day, 136 being positive. The country accumulates 11 million 097 thousand 946 samples taken and 962 thousand 486 positive.
Of the total cases (136): 132 were contacts of confirmed cases; 2 with a source of infection abroad; 2 without a specified source of infection. Of the 136 diagnosed cases, 79 were female and 57 male.
14.7% (20) of the 136 positive cases were asymptomatic, accumulating a total of 132 thousand 554, which represents 13.8% of those confirmed to date.
Of the 136 diagnosed cases, they belong to the age groups: under 20 years old (29), 20 to 39 years old (26), 40 to 59 years old (40), 60 and over (41).
Of the 962 thousand 486 patients diagnosed with the disease, 788 remain hospitalized, of them 765 with stable clinical evolution. There are 8,304 deaths (4 in the day), a fatality rate of 0.86% vs. 1.99% in the world and 2.43% in the Americas; two evacuees, 55 returned to their countries, on the day there were 207 discharges, 953 thousand 337 recovered patients accumulated (99.0%). 23 confirmed patients are cared for in intensive care, 11 of them critical and 12 seriously ill.
